The route into vocations for many people is a personal journey through a religious community, the Church or other associations. CoR acts to facilitate and resource this process through collaboration and sharing information.
The organisation presently dealing with enquiries for the Religious Life on behalf of CoR is COMPASS, this organisation acts as a clearing house for enquiries about Religious Life in England and Wales. COMPASS helps you find your direction and enables you to respond to the call of Christ in your life. If you have ever wondered whether life in a religious order - as a nun, monk, sister priest or brother – might be your life, then Compass is for you. Compass enables Catholics aged 20-35 to explore their spiritual future. In a group of 6-8 men and women they meet one weekend a month for nine months, accompanied by a religious sister and a monk. Visit www.compass-points.org.uk for more information. The Compass ProjectCOMPASS is sponsored by a group of Roman Catholic Religious Orders and Congregations in England and Wales who belong to the Church’s official association, the Conference of Religious. The members of the COMPASS Advisory Board are Sarah Dobson CJ, Abbot Christopher Jamison OSB, Margaret O’Shea PSMG, Martin Poulsom SDB, Matthew Power SJ. The current leaders of the program are Sr Anne Spilberg and Fr Luke Jolly The residential venue is Worth Abbey, Turner’s Hill, Near Crawley. Sussex.
