Letter to Members: Collaboration Workshop Invitation June 2026

Dear All,

We are writing to invite you take part in our next Collaboration Workshop, Community Dynamics and Working with Challenging Behaviours which takes place on Wednesday 10th June 2026 at St Paul's Convent Conference Centre, Selly Park, Birmingham B29 7LL.  Arrival and coffee will be from 10.15am and the workshop is from 10.45am - 3.30pm.

We will have presentations from Andy Baker, the Managing Director of Able Training.  Andy Baker is a positive behaviour support and de-escalation specialist, and the host of the Able to Care podcast, where he explores the realities of care, education, and human behaviour with professionals, parents, and people with lived experience.  As a speaker, Andy is known for delivering engaging, thought-provoking sessions grounded in real-world experience. His focus is not just on sharing ideas, but on giving people the clarity and confidence to apply them in their day-to-day roles.

Andy has worked alongside care providers, educators, healthcare teams, and workplaces across the UK. His work focuses on helping people better understand behaviour, not just what we see on the surface, but what sits underneath it, with a clear understanding the pressures of the role and challenges unhelpful assumptions.

As with all our Collaboration workshops in this series, lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day and as places are limited, we advise you to register as soon as possible on the below link; please note that each person attending will need to complete their details on the below link:
