Religious Life Forum – Leeds Cathedral

Tuesday 24 March 2026 | Wheeler Hall, Leeds Cathedral

The Religious Life Forum event offers those in religious life a dedicated space to reflect on shared challenges and to hear from experts on key issues facing religious communities today. It provides an opportunity to deepen connections with others in religious life, exchange insights and experiences, and explore ways to strengthen communities for the future.

The Forum is aimed at all those who lead Religious communities, whether that be superiors, trustees, bursars, or others in positions of responsibility.

The event will be chaired by Elizabeth Wilson, Head of Wrigleys Solicitors’ Faith Team, who acts as legal adviser to many religious orders and faith organisations. She will be joined by contributors including Amanda Francis (formerly of Buzzacott LLP), Dr Catherine Sexton (author of Becoming Apostolic), and James Hutton of Sarasin and Partners. Together, they will reflect on shared challenges, recent legal developments affecting religious communities, and relevant Charity Commission investigations.

Venue: Wheeler Hall, Leeds Cathedral, Saint Anne’s Street, Leeds LS2 8BE
