Join Bishop Erik Varden OCSO for an online Enriching Ministry Day exploring contemplative spirituality, pastoral care and the sacred dimensions of ministry on 17 October 2026.
The Carmelite Spirituality Network invites participants to its final Enriching Ministry Day of 2026, Ministry Today: The Call to Safeguard the Mystery, taking place online on Saturday 17 October, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm.
Led by Bishop Erik Varden OCSO, Bishop of Trondheim and a Cistercian monk, the session will explore the contemplative foundations of ministry and the importance of safeguarding the sacred dimensions of pastoral care, spiritual direction and formation.
The event is open to those involved in ministry, safeguarding and formation, as well as anyone interested in deepening their understanding of contemplative spirituality.

Walking with Young People Along Paths of Faith and Vocation
Free online event hosted by UCESM exploring youth and vocation ministry with Brother Matthew, Prior of Taizé, on 10 June 2026.
UCESM (The Union of European Conferences of Major Superiors) is hosting an online meeting with Brother Matthew, Prior of Taizé, on Wednesday 10 June 2026.
The session, entitled Walking with Young People Along Paths of Faith and Vocation, will explore accompaniment of young people in their journey of faith and vocational discernment.
The event is open to Religious and lay people involved or interested in youth and vocation ministry. Participation is free of charge.

About the Speaker:
Fr. Hans Zollner SJ is Director of the Institute of Anthropology – Interdisciplinary Studies on Human Dignity and Care at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. A psychologist and licensed psychotherapist, he was one of the original eight members of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors established by Pope Francis in 2014. He has advised bishops' conferences worldwide on safeguarding policy and practice.
