Friends of the Holy Land – A Call to Prayer and Support
At this time, many are aware of the deeply distressing situation unfolding across the Middle East. The fragile nature of peace is once again evident, as conflict and uncertainty bring suffering to so many, especially to Christian communities living in the Holy Land, the very place where Christ walked, died, and rose again.
Friends of the Holy Land, an ecumenical charity, continues to provide vital, practical support to Christian families in Israel, Palestine and Jordan. Their work includes direct financial assistance for those facing hardship, displacement, and insecurity; skills training to help young adults find pathways into stable employment; fresh water provision for families in the West Bank; support for the elderly; special educational needs provision in Bethlehem; and summer camps for children traumatised by conflict and violence.
This is a moment not only for awareness, but for prayer and solidarity. It is a reminder of how quickly peace can unravel, and how important it is to hold these communities in our hearts.
